Jan. 11, 2022 – Our sister publication Concrete Products was the first in the construction-materials trade press to report on a very important merger, as the Swiss parent company of Sika Corp., Lyndhurst, N.J., anticipates a second half closing on Master Builders Solutions owner, MBCC Group. The company is based in Mannheim, Germany, with its Americas headquarters in Cleveland. The companies apparently announced their nearly $6 billion merger plan late last year – which flew largely under the radar in the trade press – subject to approval by regulators on both sides of the Atlantic, who are likely to examine the combined businesses’ impact on competition in concrete admixtures plus construction chemicals and systems.
